The staff is very caring, knowledgeable and flexible; especially for my high strung German Shepards. We often do our appointment outside to keep my neurotic female in a more calm state.
We were in town for the weekend, when our 19 year old dog started to have shortness of breath. Even though we had never been to the hospital before, Dr. Jessica met us shortly before midnight, did X-rays, blood work, and put her in oxygen. The next morning, our girl crashed, and Dr. Jessica and the staff managed to keep her alive until we could arrive 40 minutes later to say goodbye, even though she coded four times. Riverview Animal Hospital is truly amazing! I am an out of towner, and noticed a growing abscess on my pups face on the fourth of July. I called every vet clinic and Riverview was the only one open in the area. They saw her within a half hour of the call, accessed the situation, and took her into immediate surgery. Within 2 hours we had our baby back, healthy and happy and all fixed up. Her infection was caused by a foxtail which are commonly seen in the area, so please be aware. We rushed from Miramichi to Riverview on Friday evening with our sweet little guinea pig, Pinky. Many people don’t realize guinea pigs are just as loved as a cats and dogs. She is our family. They mean the world to our 3 and 5 year old daughters. They were very worried about her. Staff and vet we saw treated Pinky like royalty. My puppy Kona got super sick and it turned out to be pancreatitis. Not only was I terrified I was overwhelmed with how I was even going to think about paying for this lengthy bill. They took the time to set me up with a care credit card and assured me everything would be okay. Every single person I encountered here was a delight.
