The Furnace Family repairman looked at our furnace (which had quit working) on Feb 15, collected the fee for his call out & left with no explanation. The furnace was still not working so my husband had to run outside to inform him as he was still sitting in his van. He then explained that he was not able to fix the problem he came to look at because there was more work that needed to be done. WHY could he not tell us this before he walked out the door?
BEWARE DO NOT USE Our furnace was working perfectly, no issues, but arranged to have it inspected through Furnace Family through Rumi. Technician said furnace was in perfect working order. The next evening, less than 24 hours later, the furnace stopped working. Furnace Family advised they “might” be able to fix it that night for $1800, apparently sure it was the control board. On questioning as to why it broke right after their technician touched it, we were told that “happens all the time.”

Furnace Family came out for a 2 day job to change out my existing A/C unit and my lemon of a furnace that was just a matter of time I had to replace. I was with Direct Energy. I never had an issue with any of their technicians. I had good service. Thing is, I had my A/C unit stop working on July 30th, and they took like 12 days to come out to look at it. Called th FF December 23 for help on my unit heater in the garage. They were out December 24th to fix it and saved the day!
we were given and explained a number of options which we could choose from. we were told how the process will work. we received are heating unit the next day which we rely appreciated (-30). were told we would get the red carpet treatment and did:) thx FF
