RecommendedI called Furnace Family for a quote on a new furnace for our townhouse and was very pleased when Dareck Makowski, owner of Furnace Family came to do it personally. I found that Dareck really knew his business and pointed out several things I was unaware of regarding the installation. A competitive quotation was lower, but missed several extra cost items. We will definitely go with Furnace Family!
RecommendedMy furnace stopped working in January. I called the Furnace Family and a technician came out within the hour. Turns out I needed to replace my 18 years old Furnace as the main circuit board was shot. The cost to repair didn't make sense. We had the Furnace Family install a new Furnace for us. They were prompt with getting things done and suggested cost effective options that made sense for our old home.

I purchased a brand new air conditioner and new heat pump. Installation was yesterday. Unfortunately it was installed with a few pieces missing (as reported by the wonderful service tech who came to look at it last night). I paid $10,770 to have it blow warm air instead of cold. Right now I'm waiting for Service. There's nothing that could make me recommend having this happen to someone else.
Very crappy first install.
The Furnace Family repairman looked at our furnace (which had quit working) on Feb 15, collected the fee for his call out & left with no explanation. The furnace was still not working so my husband had to run outside to inform him as he was still sitting in his van. He then explained that he was not able to fix the problem he came to look at because there was more work that needed to be done. WHY could he not tell us this before he walked out the door?
BEWARE DO NOT USE Our furnace was working perfectly, no issues, but arranged to have it inspected through Furnace Family through Rumi. Technician said furnace was in perfect working order. The next evening, less than 24 hours later, the furnace stopped working. Furnace Family advised they “might” be able to fix it that night for $1800, apparently sure it was the control board. On questioning as to why it broke right after their technician touched it, we were told that “happens all the time.”
