First time visit to San Diego in August with my sister (birthday trip), and we stopped here for her birthday dinner. We arrived near the tail-end of Happy Hour and enjoyed discounted appetizers and drinks. We visited Romanissimo for my birthday yesterday pre-symphony. It was without question one of the finest Italian meals we have had in San Diego in our 36 years. The staff treated me like royalty, with a glass of Prosecco and other delightful "special" birthday touches throughout the meal. The pre-dinner cocktails were perfect, and the beef carpaccio and roasted artichoke hearts were divine. The bread was super fresh and flavorful. We celebrated our friend's birthday last night and had a great experience. The place was crowded, the food was amazing, and our server Matt was incredibly attentive. He introduced us to Roman cuisine and recommended the best dishes,we loved everything he suggested. Highly recommend!
