Valentina was a great hostest and the pasta carbonara and calamari n drinks where amazing
Valentina was very nice! we had a great time and we loved the food. was a nice trip back to Italy for the night!
Visited twice while in San Diego last week. Relatively busy spot but very short wait. The outdoor seating was nice and enjoyed the great San Diego weather. Wait staff was attentive without being bothersome. I had the papperdelle Bolognese both nights. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Sauce was flavorful and just right. I had the grilled eggplant with burrata starter one night, great flavor but the eggplant wasn't warm all the way through. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
They did not ask if we wanted bread. Just brought it and charged us. Only $3 - which should tell you the low quality. Terrible service with no refills, no suggestions, no desert. We finally got up and walked to the bar to get some water. We ordered the pasta in a cheese wheel, $51 - but they refused to bring the wheel outside where they sat us. We have no idea if the pasta was ever even put in the parmigiana. This was an uncomfortable dinner and we were quick to leave.
Came to eat the lady in the front was rude and discriminating towards me and a friend and said the kitchen was closed then said it was open but we can't sit and eat only to go then no we can eat there but have no what we want and it was our first time just horrible customer service
I can't believe the rating for the restaurant. The food and service were awful. The hot appetizers came in less than 5 minutes of ordering. They were definitely premade. The bruschettas were soggy. The salad was brought out with the entrees and the entrees had no flavor. It wasn't a relaxing meal either. Everything was done in 45 minutes. Avoid this place.
The service is friendly and the food was good. Nothing remarkable about the place but it wasn't bad either. There were a couple clams in the pasta that look like they pry opened the shell and it tasted rancid. However, majority of the clams, lobster, and mussels tasted fresh. The ambiance is nice, with a very extensive Italian theming but feel they went overboard with the wall paper and wraps they had on all the doors. Looks great from a distance but kind of cheap up close. The biggest issue with Romanissimo is that it i... read more
Thoroughly disappointed with the service and quality of the food. We dined in today for dinner, more specifically happy hour. We ordered several items from the HH menu - two pastas, two apps, calamari, and Cesar salad. The pasta had a long brown hair in it. It was absolutely appalling. They asked if we wanted it remade. By that point, we were so unappetized by what we saw that we didn't ask for it to be remade. They ended up bringing dessert to "make up" for it.
uhm, ive never been to a place that CHARGES FOR HOUSE BREAD and WATER. food was mid and wasnt warm all the way through. there are definitely better and cheaper places than here.
