I was under the impression that, since Rumpke is a trash company, they would send a person with a truck to empty my trash. I guess I didn't read the fine print. My wife and I decided that we should be good global citizens and do our part by recycling. Unfortunately, Rumpke does not share our concerns. We went 3 months without receiving a recycling pickup. Customer service is below 1 star. Full of incompetent CS giving you conflicting information. I went somewhere else and was hit with a ridiculous termination fee. I don't trust them so I rather pay to get out than deal with this nonsense again.

I've had their service for years with no problems. I called for a bulk pick up of a mattress and box springs. Was gonna be charged $20 for bulk pick up---Wrapped them in plastic as instructed. They would not take them b/c they were placed vertically by my mailbox. So I called and the rep said they would come get it the next day. They never did. Called a third time, paid $20 for a new zippered cover so the items would be "properly covered" and placed them horizontally and they still did not take them....a few not so pleasant ... read more
Asked for a recycling bin to be delivered. They dumped it practically in the street in front of my house. I live in a row of townhouses where I'm expected to walk the entire block to the end of the street and then walk the entire block back down the alleyway behind my house to place it where it belongs in the back of the house. When I asked the same of the previous company Republic Services to do the same task, they brought it right to where the trash cans are picked up, in the alleyway behind our houses. First let me say I canceled my service and yet still got for 3 months of service which I never used. This told me that they don't track the customers service. So instead of using their pay service which they charge you for. I had my bank send a payment. Glad I did they sent me to collection. two month after they received their payment electronically. ive had them now 3yrs . they miss several weeks threw out the year but they empty the can and the person slide it back to the yard and it flipped and the lid almost broke completely off. Now after almost a month I still haven't got it replaced and all I keep getting is its on its way, we ran out of bens. like today they changing it today. well guess what it didn't happen.
Ok so I've had Rumpke for over a year and service has significantly went down. At first they would miss picking up my trash once or twice now it's every week. Every week they miss picking my trash up I even spoke with the operations manager Derek who claimed I didn't even have service with them when I emailed them and asked to speak with a supervisor but once I gave him my acct number he stated that they were still in my neighborhood picking up trash NO SIR they just didn't pick it up!!! Worst service ever!! They missed me every week and I had to call in. They told me I had to leave my cans curbside in order for them to work back to me and they sat there for 17 straight days!! Then when I said come get them , I'm going to another company they said to leave them out and they would come back on 14 -21 days No more!!!
On 4/6/18, 4/13/18, 4/27/18 my trash was missed from pickup. This repeated oversight is upsetting. I've called in on numerous times and have been reassured that the problem has been resolved and will not reoccur... Though, somehow, this turns out to be untrue. I've spoken with Lynn, Joia, Stephanie, Laura/Laurie, and Joetta regarding this concern. I've received insincere apologies and a crappy $5 credit to my account for the trouble.
