My Mother in law was a Resident at Ryefield Court for over three years. As a retired Psychiatric Nurse myself working for an older age range team, I have always been very impressed with the care in this home. It has always been excellent. When Mum had to move to the Dementia Unit I was so impressed by the fact she moved into the room directly above the one she had been in, so it more familiar in the view outside and the placing on the unit, which meant she was able to settle there quickly. My sister was admitted to Ryefield in February and I could not be happier with the standard of care. She was initially unsettled and confused but all the staff did their utmost to make her feel at home. She was treated as an individual with her interests and needs catered for so not only is she physically well cared for but is mentally stimulated. Mum has been a permanent resident at Ryefield Court for over 3 years. She recently has a DoLS assessment and told the assessor that she was very happy there, with no complaints and thought the staff all lovely! As a family, we are so pleased we chose Ryefield as mum's home. The home are trying hard to accommodate safe visiting following the residents covid boosters. Ryefield continues to excel. I am very satisfied with the care and compassion that we witness first hand. The facilities are top quality and are very comfortable to visit. I am always very happy when I am at Ryefield and know that the high standard of care and compassion continues until I return. The house is safe and has a good atmosphere. I only knew Ryefield for a matter of days before lockdown and therefore could only judge the facilities by the photos in the brochure. Now that Ryefield is opening up to us all post-Covid, the photos are coming to life and I am pleased to say that I am not disappointed. The staff must have been good through some really stressful and testing times during Covid, looking after our loved ones without any assistance from relatives. I am very satisfied with Ryefield in every way. The management, care staff, and support staff all do a wonderful job of caring for the resident’s every need. Should the time come when I need to be looked after then I would certainly choose Ryefield.
I would like to thank the staff at Ryefield Court Care Home for the great effort and consideration they gave to my grandmother and our family to enable us to celebrate her 102nd birthday this summer. Grandma had a busy morning having her hair and nails done and was wrapped up warm so she could be brought out into the garden to meet us. We were greeted with a champagne reception. My grandmother is currently in respite at Ryefield and I honestly couldn’t wish for her to be in better hands. The staff are amazing, so thoughtful and caring not only to my grandmother but to all of her family. They really do go over and beyond for their residents nothing is too much trouble. My mum went into Ryefield Court for three weeks of respite care in May and was so happy there that she has stayed as a resident. The care and attention given to her are second to none. The home is absolutely beautiful - very spacious, clean and modern with a big garden (lovely sculptures and flowers). Management and staff are superb, absolutely first-rate.
