Every dish was amazing. The pacing and timing of dishes was off and the service varied depending on the area (our server and the manager were great). It was very hectic, especially with the Del Mar opening day post race crowd (lots of tipsy folks) so maybe not the best atmosphere to fairly evaluate all aspects of the restaurant but the good parts were more than enough for us to return.
Food was amazing, service was really friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was really cool!
The food was great and our server was amazing as well. The broccolini was our favorite, but everything was delicious! Definitely will be back.
Outstanding! I just moved to San Diego from Scottsdale (amazing food scene) and I've had a very hard time finding restaurants with exceptional food and atmosphere. Everything I have tried so far has been very mediocre at best and it's been pretty disappointing until I found SAGO. Ambience, food, service, everything is amazing. Can't wait to go back!
Had such a great experience. My girlfriends and I sat at the bar, which was newly redone and looks great. We had great service from Ben at the bar, and the food was great. The chef has done a truly exceptional job with all the new additions to the menu. From the oysters on the half shell to the new cucumber dish to the chicken and caviar, everything was so delicious. Sago has become one of my favorite restuarants in north county. I'll definitely be back soon.
The flavors were outstanding. The sauce maker is a genius. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they had no Non-Alcoholic beers or offerings. Having a full bar there it was very disappointing. Our server was very young but the knowledge was through the roof! Very impressive.
Everything exceeded my expectations! The food was amazing, drinks were delicious, our server was very sweet and attentive, wait staff were extremely nice and constantly filling up our water glasses and clearing our empty plates, and the place has a great modern vibe. Highly recommend for a fun date night, celebration or event.
I loved it, the exquisite food, the only thing is that usually for birthdays they offer you a dessert with a candle, but on this occasion they did not offer us the service, but everything is very nice
Excellent tapas style meals that were culinary delights! We had the Wagyu beef skewers, chicken satay, spicy noodles and lobster boa buns. The vibe was upscale and scenery felt like a secluded fine dining dive in the middle of a jungle. Would definitely come back again!
