I ordered the steak on “special”, and it was the toughest, most over-salted steak I have ever had. Stringy and nearly impossible to cut. Side of asparagus was salted to a ridiculous level. My husband’s filet was decent and both steaks were the same price. Service was sparse, simple drinks (vodka soda and a tonic with lime) took forever to arrive. We were scoping out a good place to take visiting family...we’re going to keep looking.
Birthday party. Would have scored the food higher if it wasn’t undercooked, a couple in the party mentioned theirs was overly seasoned with salt where as mine and another friends was over seasoned with pepper. All in all the place has great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Really think veggies should be included in your ~$50 meal and not an extra cost.
Hi We are from Ontario and wanted to experience Alberta beef. Four of us ordered steak, 2 beef tenderloins, 2 rib eyes. We ordered our rib eyes medium rare and they were tough. The beef tenderloins we also tough. We were very disappointed especially when we paid 54$ for rib eye. Restaurant was beautiful and service was great. We don’t mind paying the price if food is worth it. Unfortunately this was not the case.
The steaks and extras were really outstanding, great food. French onion soup was very tasty but not hot enough. Service left many wishes open. We agreed to swap a baked potato by corn but still were charged. At the entrance I was greeted for my 60th birthday event and offered a glass of Prosecco. Our waiter later not only refused to serve one but told me "we don't do that anymore". A pity!
Service was slow. Took over 15 minutes to get our drinks after waiting 15 minutes to even order it. Our waitress had no idea we were her table until we had been waiting for a while. When we ordered our steaks medium and they came out rare, we would have said something but our waitress was absent for the first 20 minutes of our meal. Once we told her we were disappointed with our steaks she said she would get her manager and the manager was lovely. He took care of almost half our bill and was very apologetic. Sat for 25 minutes and no one came by to serve us. Got up and left. Never going here again!
