I have been going to the Sam Ash at the old Kapok Tree Restaurant site for decades at this point. It's a favorite. This time, I brought my kids - ages 9 and 5, both aspiring musicians with me. My 9 year old is a terrific drummer and he had a ball trying out the fancy drum kits. The 5 year old just likes hitting things, making it a challenge to help him find the line between "playing drums" and "destroying drums."
