Love The Sandbar…food and service consistently outstanding!
Located in the quaint town of Cold Spring Harbor Sandbar serves great food with wonderful ambiance. The service was prompt and cordial and dinner was relaxed and served at proper intervals between appetizers and the main course.. The menu is not overwhelming and there are plenty of choices from appetizers, salads, sandwiches and main dishes. Fish is a specialty but there are also chicken and steak choices. Bday lunch.
Sandbar is our go-to place for any special occasions. Food is good. Service is good. However, this Sunday evening was quite crowded. The service was a little slow at times. We've ordered 2 seafood towers. The raw oysters and clams have sand in lot of them, unlike our previous experience from this restaurant. The crab legs were extremely salty. We'll still go back and give them another chance. Hope it gets better like before.
Understaffed and slow
Waitress was attentive and courteous but took just a little too long in taking our order. I believe she thought she was using good judgment given our non rushed demeanor. Everything was very enjoyable despite living in our “Covid” world!
Food is outstanding and reason selected the restaurant to celebrate my 65th. However, service very disappointing on multiple scales that it ruined the whole experience. Just few examples - we were two and ordered a bottle of sparkling water and only once our glass was partially (<1/3) filled. They never refilled, even after asking, and we had a two course meal. Love this place!
Food was excellent as usual. Service was good and I absolutely love the ambiance. Daniel, the manager, was also great and was able to accommodate our larger party upon request. Love this place.
