Consumer beware -- Schweiger Dermatology Group will not only charge you a copay for your routine office visit, they will also bill you after the fact, sometime for hundreds of dollars, without explanation as to why and what for. I've had this experience twice now and I will not be going back. During my last visit, in October 2021, I explicitly and clearly informed the office staff that I did not wish to receive services that would incur out-of-pocket patient billing in excess of my $55 copy without being informed in advance ... read more

Made an appointment. When making it they took my insurance info before making the appointment. As the appointment got close they sent text messages to confirm. I responded, they confirmed. I rearranged my schedule for this appointment. When I got there they said they no longer take my insurance and said I could pay out of pocket $200 or so!

I had visited Schweiger for the first time a little over a year ago. After a biopsy was taken, I received an initial classification of my problem. That is as far as I got, until I went to the dermatology clinic at a NY hospital for a second opinion. This second opinion, now that a year has gone by, has turned out to be incorrect, while the expressed cause of my problem seemed implausible to me. In fact, a treatment that was suggested during the exam alluded to an arcane procedure that no one uses anymore, to quote one of... read more

Beware: This office is NOT Covid-compliant. Patients wait needlessly for extended periods in small unventilated rooms. Staff seem unconcerned. No one should risk their life for routine dermatology.

Zero stars. Do not go to this doctor. They are rude and unorganized. They charged a $30 copay, asked me to get blood work done elsewhere and then NEVER FOLLOWED up with me. During my visit I had 5 additional people in with the doctor and no one was identified. I'm looking for a new dermatologist. They are terrible.

I'm giving it two stars for medical purposes only. Their more cosmetic side might be fine. I had a worrisome mole, and there were a lot of weak spots in my care. Communication and deeper knowledge about the issue was poor, and I have since had the benefit of an appointment with a skin cancer specialist. I had one mole removed, and the doctor I saw was not able to accurately predict the size of a scar for a VERY controlled procedure, exceeding her predicted measurement by 2 centimeters. Any doctor's office should give clear... read more

My physician Assistant Annie Mulvaney took an educated guess at what was causing my rash instead of doing a test and knowing 100% this educated guess turned out to be wrong and I needed to go back again so she could conduct the test and know for sure what was causing the problem. For the privilege of going back a 2nd time, I was charged a full price office visit that cost me $200 and the cost of the failed medicine. Had she performed the test the first time (or consulted the doctor if she was unsure) I would have not had to ... read more

Some of these employees act like they know it all and don't care at all when people have issues. I have had enough with this dermatologist group.

Highly disappointed with my visit to this practice. The initial process (front desk) was pleasant, but it was the exam room service and overcharging that were the issues. I was very worried about this allergic reaction happening around and near my eyes, and I also wanted just a general assessment of my eczema, of which I've had for years. When the examiner came in and I expressed my concerns, she didn't even come close to me (stayed three feet away) and told me that it "probably" was an allergic reaction and would prescribe ... read more
