They take FOREVER sending/filling prescriptions, and truly make no effort to get them out same-day. I believe the "doctor" I was seeing for quite some time has been fired due to the abysmal reviews on Yelp, and I can also say that he fucked up my leg after injecting some kind of substance into a scar to flatten it. Anyway, I will have to go back to them for at least one more refill of my prescription I'm sure, and I will not being going back after that.
I probably leave one negative Yelp review per year, and this is definitely worthy of my yearly review. After having several appointments with John Boutros (i.e., I thought we had built a relationship) he NO-SHOWED for my 9 am appointment (the first appointment of the day). I left after waiting for 40 minutes because I had a meeting for work I had to attend and had received no update from the staff regarding if/when John would arrive. Got a large permanent scar left where I just wanted a small wart to be removed. Currently looking for a malpractice lawyer who'd take my case. Stay away from this place, the "doctor" who scarred me has no experience handling a cryogun. Went in Jan '18, had a wart on my left hand which I wanted to remove. This is by far the worse dermatologist I've ever been to. Not only do the receptionists not care whatsoever about the prescription you need and seem to mess up every small thing in regards to it even when given exact names of brands, Dr. John Botrous is inexplicably horrific at his job. I once waited 3 DAYS just to have a prescription okay'ed by him, which is absolutely unacceptable. I have been a patient here and have seen a wonderful doctor for an annual skin check, had no complaints. I had a terrible skin reaction while on vacation and when I got back I called for an appt. I was given an appointment that day (which was great), thinking that I would be seen by a Doctor. To be clear, I can't rate the actual medical service provided by this office. However, I booked my first appointment, put down a co-pay, and proceeded to wait for 1+ hours before needing to leave for another commitment. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just a bad night (Monday around 5 pm; there were people waiting for more than 2 hours) and rebooked a few weeks later for a first-thing-in-the-morning, 8 am appointment so I would be the first patient seen. I was misdiagnosed by one of the doctors here with Lupus, a serious skin condition that I was then prescribed medication for. Turns out after several visits to different doctors at other institutions I found out I was misdiagnosed and was recommended to stop taking the treatment that I was prescribed. This doctor caused a lot of emotional stress for me and my family and I wish she was more thorough in her diagnosis. I really was disappointed this time around and really giving Dr.Boutros a review. 1st time i went i was super impressed with the friendliness and attentiveness. Cream being delivered at home etc. however i still have issues on my skin if not worse. 2nd time was that I recommend him to my parents and they gave them insurance issues and would not accommodate their issues since they live abroad. I did not have a good experience here. I felt like I was being sold on products constantly, not actually receiving a dermatological consultation. I've gone to dermatologists my entire life and I'm always given options, some covered by insurance, others not, but I was pedaled products by Dr. Boutros without given any options.
