I've been going to Dr. Yardy Tse for over 20 years, and she has removed more skin cancers than I can count. She has done everything from simple excisions to Mohs procedures with skin grafts, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Minimal scarring, and a great outcome. She stays on top of the latest innovations and incorporates them into making her practice better every day. I live in the Mission Beach area and pass dozens of dermatologists on my way to her office. First, Ashley Dominique was very nice and professional. However, I was supposed to get a prescription with a year of refills. There was some mix up when it was sent to the pharmacy and it was only written for 5 months. The pharmacy sent a refill request 3 times and no one had responded. I called twice and each time got the voicemail and no one has called me back or sent a new rx to the pharmacy. I am now out of medication and probably going to be going to a new dermatologist. Absolute amateur hour at the front desk. Rhonda the office manager talks down to you and then hangs up on you when she doesn't like your tone. It's been three months and my pharmacy calls repeatedly to their office to have my prescription filled as was authorized by their medical personnel, but the front desk refuses to call back and refuses to take responsibility for it. First time patient. Last time being a patient here. The front desk staff is very unfriendly and unhelpful. I was taken back into what seemed to be a "thrown together" procedure room. The surgeon looked at my facial cyst and then left the room. She returned with a hand written piece of scrap paper with numbers written on it. One line for the procedure, one line for the removal of the stitches and a line that said pathology $120. I agreed to the procedure and the surgeon removed the cyst. I want to warn anyone thinking about going to be seen at California Skin Institute. Do not!!. I was diagnosed not once but three times incorrectly. I spent hundreds of dollars and had a biopsy done that should never have been done. On my face. Run the other way! The doctor doesn't listen. He forms his diagnosis by guessing. Not by facts.
