I had a great patient experience at Schweiger Dermatology and highly recommend this group! Making an appointment was easy and I like how they automatically send you an invite for your appointment, along with the option of receiving text message notifications. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted very nicely by the front desk and was seen within 5 minutes. The office was extremely clean and bright with lots of plants throughout the space. I have seen Dr. Sumayah Jamal for 10 years. First at a prior practice and now at Schweiger. She is very knowledgeable (MD AND a PhD!), extremely kind and a great doctor all around. I have seen other dermatologists before but she is truly the best of the best. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any skin issue - medical or cosmetic. for Dr Jamal!
Not sure why this place has somewhat poor ratings but whatever. I went today bc I had a skin emergency that I couldn't fix. I am an Esthetician and having a skin boo boo that I couldn't fix was super problematic. I found this place via Yelp. I was very nervous but gave it a go. If I could give more stars, I would! Usually, I go to the pent house location (JULIE has been seeing me for years). That said, this was my first visit in this location (with someone new)because I had an emergency: my face broke out due to an allergic reaction. Immediately, they fixed me up! Also, I should mention that Julie helped me get the last minute appointment; they saw me within a few hours and I didn't have to wait when I arrived for my time slot. Doctor Jamal is the best of the best. I came to see her over a decade ago througth a referral from another dermatologist here in NYC who was leaving the state. Since that time, I continue to refer family and friends to see her. She is a thorough, kind and wise professional who will listen to you, make a reasoned and well thought out recommendation and prescribe only medications/products that she believes will correct your issue. I have never been to dermatologist and was anxious about my appointment. Dr.Rao put me at ease and was exceptionally efficient and personable. She is a good listener and came up with a very practical remedy for me.i would recommend her without reservation. Overall a very pleasant experience. I will continue to be her patient. I am quite fortunate to have have found her.
Dr. Sumayah Jamal has been my dermatologist for over 10 years, so when she joined Schweiger Dermatology, I no doubt followed her to this new practice. From the wonderful receptionists to the nursing staff, to the other doctors, you always feel welcomed and well taken care of as a patient. I would highly recommend anyone suffering from acne to go to Dr. Jamal.
I've used two of their locations (apparently they're everywhere) and they just seem to have a great attitude no matter who I see. Locations are clean and intake is efficient. Doctors are thorough, friendly and professional. They seem to realize that no one wants to go to the dermatologist so they're going to make it as pleasant as possible.
I had the most hideous dry skin rash in my ear, a problem that has been intermittent for almost FIVE YEARS. I have seen at least four different doctors, more than once. I have gone through three or four different antibacterial and antifungal ear drops and creams, many of which were sticky, or thick and clogged my ear, or made my skin look oily, and none of them solved the problem.
