Have been a patient for a number of years. Staff has gone way downhill recently. Had a biopsy done in April but never heard from anyone. Calls to office went unreturned. When I finally got hold of a staffer two months later, she became angry that I was complaining. Claimed she had left two messages and another time my phone just rang and rang. Don't think so. I like Dr Farber but dealing with the practice and the admin staff is a total nightmare. Prescriptions do not get sent when they're supposed to, calls do not get returned (or only get returned after following up a million times), and the call center staff lacks basic courtesy and communication skills - it's not a pleasant experience dealing with them. Overall this makes the patient experience a terrible one.
The actual doctors at this location are lovely. However, never have I experienced worse front desk workers. They were absolutely rude, unhelpful, rushed me out, did not answer my questions, and it all just felt sketchy. I'm very disappointed by the service of these receptionists. Terrible.
Worst customer service ever. I usually don't write any review unless I'm very disappointed. Both front desk and customer services are very impatient. They have no time to explain anything. I called to change my appointment time one week earlier, but it turned out they did not actually change anything. They also put you on hold until it's been too long and you're automatically dropped off. The doctor I met is very nice and helpful, but the staffs are very annoying.
They have no respect for other people's time. I came it at the same time as a white, middle aged man in a suit. We had the same appointment time. He was seen first not long after and I had to leave because I waited for half hour for my appointment before I was seen and ended up leaving before I saw the doctor because I told them in advance that I had a 2 pm appointment when I arrived on time for 1 pm, when I told them that I had another appointment. Last time I had an appointment I went in to see why face wasn't looking clear , I check in get in quick get asked a few question and then the doctors shows up, he examined my face and say you really fucked it up , that with my special color (I'm a olive/medium tone). I felt some way about the comment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. First of all, this is not a review of Marianne Pistelli, who is the PA I saw. My one encounter with her was quite pleasant; she was very nice and sympathetic. This review is for the office staff and how the office operates. It's near impossible to get through to the actual office you call. My review has nothing to do with the quality of the doctors. This is not a medical practice. It is a factory. I had an appointment and apparently had written down the address incorrectly. I called the office around 2:30 pm. After 10 minutes on hold, I finally got someone on the phone and she said she didn't know the address. She would have to get in touch with "corporate." Unfortunate update: I saw Marianne Pistilli today. Don't let this woman touch your face with a 10 foot pole. Just don't. If my skin didn't hurt so much right now, I might actually be laughing from how unprofessional my experience was. Marianne has the skill and bedside manner of a dry sponge. The medical assistant (thankfully!) seemed to have more knowledge and compassion than her and helped quite a bit. I am amazed that this woman is certified to see human patients.
