I have been a loyal patient of Schweiger Dermatology for many years, and I have seen a number of different providers. However, after being seen by Dr. Alvin Adler, I am seriously questioning the entire practice. He was by far the most incompetent doctor I have ever visited in my entire life. He belittles the patient, and pays no attention to any questions or concerns. However, the most dangerous part - HE MISDIAGNOSES.

I've been to this dermatologist office twice. My first visit was extremely positive, but the second was awful and actually left me in tears. I didn't have to wait long, but the nurse that took me back was incredibly unfriendly. I had recently been having issues with acne and really wanted to talk to someone about the possible causes since I hadn't broken out like this before. Long wait and most of the appointments are with a PA. She prescribed me 4 different creams for eczema on my hand that totaled almost $150 at the drugstore using insuarnce. I have great insurance but even so the copays were so high bc the brand name creams she prescribed were so expensive (one was $500 without insurance). Spoke with the pharmacist to weed out the ones I don't need.
I had a terrible experience here - the PA had no time for me (told me she didn't have time, and that she had four patients waiting!), told me to come back another time, said she'd prescribe some mystery medications (no discussion about what medication, what they do, side effects, or cost), and prescribed a $70 and a $311 medication, not covered by my insurance, which was sent out and billed to me. Disgraceful.
The medical service itself is fine, and the clinic is clean. Although, they don't follow up with the patient to tell the results of biopsy, you have to call yourself. The administrative side of it all is unprofessional, not polite, and careless. Despite having copies of my ID and insurance card, they somehow got my address wrong, so I wasn't getting bills until they sent the third notice to my email.
