So as a new patient i came in expecting a little bit of a wait. However the office is empty and i filled paper work out. 20 mins later im waiting in the opetory for another 40 mins. If your time is valuable stay away from this practice. And when asking why i had a 12:45 appointment and was seen till 1:45. They double and triple booked me
Had a small procedure done that I was told was cosmetic and wasn't covered through insurance which I found really hard to believe but didn't question it. Had the procedure done and within a day had a shingles outbreak. I went back the next day and was told I must be stressed out. Had to go to my Dr and he said no, they hit a nerve when they gave me the lidocaine injection. If that wasn't enough, they won't really write you prescriptions for medication. Doctor Flamenbaum is excellent. Office procedure with BIg Business Medicine, bigger groups, centralized appointments, pharmacy calls makes this a very frustrating place to go. They seem to have an exclusive deal with one pharmacy. After 5 calls back and forth to the insurance company, the pharmacy , the doctor's office (I did get through) I was told that pre authoriz was done, I would get my medicine. An hour later I got a call from the pharmacy they ONLY deal with and they wanted my insurance info again. I could not pick... read more

DR. Salvamini was great- professional and thorough. The problem was with the office staff. I arrived at 2:20 for a 2:30 appointment. I was informed that Dr. Salavmini was running a bit behind. At 3:15 i inquired as to when i would get to see the doctor and was told I was next. 20 minutes later I was finally called in to see the doctor. Never during my long wait was I informed of the long wait nor offered any explanation of the delay. Went to the New Hyde Park office today. I will start by saying Dr Salvamini is terrific. Extremely professional, thorough, and attentive. Unfortunately, the front office is horrific. I checked in at 10:10 for a 10:20 appointment and waited for an hour and 45 minutes while I watched many patients come and go. After 45 minutes my inquiry was met with a very rude "there are multiple providers here so its not the same doctor", This was the first lie - the doctor later mentioned in passing that she was the only doctor there ... read more
I want everyone to know I went for a visit at this office and I was locked in a room for two hours. Dr. Joann Salvemini came in and I asked her why I had to wait for so long. She was rude and nasty and said "Are you going to let me take care of you and stop talking?" Very unprofessional, as I work in a hospital myself, I would never treat a patient the way she treated me.
