I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I've been taking both my dogs there and have had only good experiences. I have been there for all of my dogs shots and a few concerns including a surgery. Every time I've been treated with respect and have been in and out in a timely manner.
This is the most caring vet clinic around. From the reception to the animal carers to the Vets themselves. I have been taking my pets to them for many years and have nothing but the highest appreciation for everybody there. I just had to have my 13 year old maltese, Dakota, put to sleep, and these people are so caring and helpful. Dr. Stewart and his staff are the only people I trust with the health and wellbeing of my animals. My dogs are like my children and I know they'll always receive expert care and plenty of TLC from Shawnee Animal Hospital.
We have been going there for about 6 years and the vets and assistants have all been great. We have gone for just shots and the occasional minor concern with our German Shepard and Boston Terrier. I do agree with the front desk needing to be happier. Check out could be quicker too.
I have used Shawnee Animal Hospital since I adopted my first pet. They are fantastic! They treat livestock and smaller pets. I have used them for everything except exotic pets (those aren't for me). Cows, horses, dogs, cats, SAH treats them all! This is the ONLY vet clinic in Shawnee that I will ever use!
this is the second time i bring my cat in. this time was worse then the 1st. but thinking it was my 1st i didn't say too much. but this my 2nd time i get there check in they say be with you in a moment. that moment then too a hr so upset i when and ask how long till my cat gets seen and i will quote this now. i am sorey for the wait. we are just waiting on the discharge paperwork. i ask what discharge we havent got seen yet. he replied well loooking at the note they saw the cat and we jist waiting for the doctor to guve is... read more

I've been sitting here in the waiting room for an hour and a half while watching SEVERAL people and their dogs go before me. "We prioritize emergencies".. I've showed up 10 minutes early- if you're reading this it's better to be 10 minutes late to this place than 10 minutes early- THAT is for sure. Took my 16-year-old cat in with known kidney issues and dropping weight. They ran nearly $500 worth of tests and offered to reach out to our previous vet in OKC for record for comparison. No discussion of treatment, and had to collect samples myself because my cat was "too panicky." Gave me liquid Gabapentin to give my baby, which made him nearly unable to walk, and found out through online research that Gabapentin is cleared by the kidneys and can be quite hard on them. They don't have good emergency services. Our pet can be laying there bleeding and barely breathing. But this vet still takes over an hour to even adminstor basic antibiotics. They are ok, but expensive for routine care. But their ability to respond quickly in emergency situations is hit or miss. It's an awful situation when your pet is bleeding and barely moving, but the receptionist or staff put routine vaccinations to the front of the line.
