What a wonderful experience we had at Ela's on the Water...it was a night before Hurricane Nicole and it was such a beautiful spot in the marina...we were greeted with a smile...the food was outstanding...we started with fried green tomatoes which one of us had never tried and they were outstanding! I thought the grits were great but the shrimp were previously frozen and ordinary. The others in our group thought their dinners were great.
A lovely evening with great food and service.
Me and mother went for my birthday and everything was great even the complementary bread! We had the filet mignon and the surf and turf. Was given a complementary cake for my birthday! Highly recommend the strawberry cake! Will definitely come back when we’re here next year!

I was excited to try this restaurant during our recent trip to HHI. The restaurant was lovely however we were seated upstairs away from the activity of the restaurant below. It was quiet but sort of isolating. Our salads were fine. I ordered salmon Rockefeller and it was just ok. The salmon was overcooked and there was a minimal amount of crab.
