Wife had the divers scallops, good as usual but rich with crab risotto. My blackened snapper excellent with substituted mashed potatoes. Accompanied by broccolini, not my favorite. Generous servings. My gumbo was outstanding, rich rue, lots of shrimp. We split a wedge salad which was ample. No room for dessert. Excellent service from Ryan - ask for her. I felt that there could be some minor adjustments to the overall dining experience. Food I expected to be slightly better. 1) NY strip could have used a nice char on the outside and some additional salt seasoning. 2)Chicken pasta for the kids- more creamy and chicken was a bit dry. 3)Calamari - was great! 4)Shrimp cocktail - was great! 5) Lobster bisque - was great, but I think adding a couple pieces of noticeable lobster would make it that much better. 6) lobster ravioli - was great Service The waitress was very nice and fr... read more
Surf and turf fantastic. Server was informative and specials were great. App of beet salad and goat cheese was awesome! Live music in bar was so good as well.

Excellent food and service, table was isolated from the main restaurant area, otherwise a great dinner! Best shrimp and grits on earth!

We like Ella’s and book for special occasions and holidays. Sunday evening we were celebrating our 46th anniversary. My husband ordered the pork chop and the wedge salad. Both were excellent! I ordered the crab cakes and when my husbands dinner was served I was given and empty plate and a steak knife. When the waiter came to the table we asked where my dinner was. He forget and quickly served it to me. It was cold! I asked if this was how it was served and he quickly removed it and later returned with it heated but not hot! ... read more
Wonderful as always! We look forward to visiting every time we are on the island. We live in DC and I would put Ela’s up against any of the places there- including ones with Michelin stars. Looking forward to our next visit!
