We got a private room for the night and was very pleased with the view. The food was amazing and the service was just as good!
quaint location on the water. quite busy on a week day. both our meals were fair. i had the surf and turf. the steak lacked flavor and the lobster tail was over cooked and tasteless. oyster on the half shell were small for blue points and also quite tasteless. pricey for what the kitchen turned out. i would recommend them as a scenic restaurant but stick to the catch of the day.
On HHI for my birthday week. ELA’s is always our first choice, “go to” restaurant to celebrate or any other time to have a great meal. This time did not disappoint, even though no mention of my birthday was made. Our waiter was stretched too thin. Great service from Raven, she was very energetic and accommodating. The appetizer and desert were both outstanding but the main courses were just so so. Underprepared and over salted; with no real flavor to speak of and questionable presentation. Fine dining atmosphere and pricing without the entrees to match. Unfortunate
Soft shelled crab is a rarity and Ela’s was able to offer it the night we attended. Superb! We also had oysters Rockefeller, a lovely salad and crab cakes full of crab and so light and delicious. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The service was terrific.
Everything was terrific. Our waitress Raven was great. Food delicious. A little expensive but worth it. Make sure you have a reservation.

The most beautiful venue on Hilton Head, hands down. The menu is unique and diverse, the sights are just spectacular and the service impeccable. Guillermo was attentive, knowledgeable and a great guy.
We totally enjoyed our meal and our experience. Our server Kim was extremely busy with a large table on another floor but made sure we were attended to. My favor was the Tuna two ways. My husband had the calamari which was also tasty. My grouper was good. My husband’s short rib was delicious. We had hoped to return before leaving Hilton Head but they were fully booked. Perhaps on a return visit.
