Celebrated my birthday- overall Ela’s is a wonderful place for fine dining however we felt rushed by the wait staff.
Good menu, food well prepared, nice view, nice music. Lovely evening.
I had the flounder; the glaze on it was wonderful, but it was overcooked and very dry. My husband had the gumbo which was excellent and the fried oysters which were nothing special. Overall we were disappointed because friends had raved about this restaurant.

We have always liked Ela's and it has a great location/ambiance. It is quite pricey but the food has always been very good. The only complaint this time was that the piece of grouper served to me was terrible. I could hardly cut it or chew it. But they made me a new plate and it was fine. That is the first time this has happened and I don't think it is a trend. The manager said it was a "bad cut" of fish.
Delicious food, loud acoustics. Only problem was ordering tuna cooked through and getting it rare. Server brought back over cooked tiny pieces of tuna. Otherwise great
Favorite place on island.
Food was good but did not reflect it's price. Desert was magnificent!
