Great food and service. Staff was amazing and attentive. We were in the 3rd floor private dining and never wanted or needed anything.

I was here with my 8 year old daughter for our first mother daughter trip. I was excited for the view on the water and local seafood. The food was delicious but I felt like the waitress was less than pleased to serve us. Compared to the interaction she provided to the table behind us, we seemed second rate. The chairs were vary low to the table as well. I’m only 5ft tall and I had to sit straight up just to be at a decent table level. I would return for another meal and likely sit inside.
For our first visit to Ela's we were expecting more than we got. The food was not special and some items were very disappointing. The Crab Cakes were the worse I have had. You tasted more filler than crab. The Gumbo was to thick, very dark and too spicy. On a positive, the fried green tomatoes and Ihi Tuna were very good as was the filet. Service was very good but the restaurant where we were seated was quite noisy. The view was great.

Ela’s has a delicious brunch and amazing setting over the water. The porch is nice, but this trip needed to sit inside due to cool temperatures. We enjoyed inside their beautiful restaurant which has stunning artwork everywhere. They pay attention to details. One of my new favorite destinations when traveling to HH
