I am still not sure if Shinfield View is on planet Earth because everyone is so kind, caring and helpful. Nothing at all is too much trouble. They also have a great sense of humour. Each day there is something going on. It is great. Many thanks.
After a long drive, we were greeted by really friendly and professional staff. We were offered a drink and a beautiful lunch. The grounds are beautiful and staff were attentive and the engagement from staff to residents was excellent. The home is immaculately clean and my wife's Aunt is extremely happy and content here. I would highly recommend this residential home.
In my opinion, Shinfield View is very well managed and has a conscientious and friendly staff. The activities cover a wide range and are excellent and well organised.

I have a great deal of expertise in elderly care as a consultant and therefore a good care home was essential - this is perfection. Attentive and proactive staff, flexible and responsive to change and a truly lovely environment. Price is very reasonable and quality is superb. Dad has settled well and this is entirely due to the brilliant carers. Since a recent hospital stay, he has been to the seaside, interacted with great entertainment and eaten like a king. Mum has been a resident since June 2018 and is very happy. Her care is excellent from all members of staff, who all go above and beyond to ensure she is comfortable, entertained and well looked after. All staff, whether Carers, Domestic, Entertainment or Catering, take time to talk to Mum and they never seem rushed. There's plenty of activities in-house and regular trips out; including some organised following requests from individual residents. My brother and I needed to find a care home at short notice for my mother. We had considered this home previously so once the need arose we did not hesitate to choose this home for our mother. The staff have been so helpful and understanding form the moment Mum moved in. All the staff are so considerate, kind and nothing is too much trouble. We cannot recommend Shinfield View care home highly enough.
This place is wonderful. It does not feel like a care home, it's like a posh hotel. The staff are so helpful. Hope I don't need to go in a home but if I have to, I hope it's here.
