Verified Renter I love living at Shirlington House. The unit is sunny and spacious, the location of the building is convenient to everything. Grounds are well-maintained and amenities--gym/pool--are lovely. But best of all the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a great place to live.

Verified Renter I would rate the overall experience (so far) as very good. There is a strong animal/dog odor in the hallways that is sometimes very intense. In my short time living here, there have been multiple maintenance issues with water in the building. Whether it be the main line of water cut off during the day, no hot water, or clogged sink/bathtub, there have been a few instances to deal with. Verified Renter Shirlington House apartments are great. They are cleaned frequently and have just included more security measures. It is one of the few places in Arlington that offer in unit W/D. Staff is helpful, however they recently removed their concierge which limits the time you can get assistance. If you have seasonal allergies I would watch out, they don't turn on the AC until later in the season. The gym is wonderful and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Verified Renter The Community is awesome!!! The renovations were very much needed, still in progess...but it was worth going through what the community went through to get to this point. I love the new fitness center and for the price my apartment after the renovation looks AMAZING and is a steal!!! I would recommend you tour and live here.
Verified Renter The location is great, windows, etc are great! However, the building is very old and poorly maintained. Specifically, the AC/heating units break once a week and building management has failed to identify and implement a permanent solution. Overall, if you can overlook the management and maintenance shortcomings, the quality of life here is decent for the price.
