Awful, avoid at all costs! I had an MRI done at the Phoenix location and while the technical aspect of things was fine, the rest of it was a nightmare. They lied that my insurance would not cover everything and charged be almost $800 for two exams, then said they could not perform one of the exams at that location but could not refund me for it. It don't even deserve a 1 star. Simon Med in general is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I got a bill in August 2023 for a MRI I had done in June. They never billed my insurance like they should have and I've been calling since August to get it ********** nothing accomplished. I've been on the phone this morning since 856 am trying to get in touch with billing. Not a single soul knows wth they're doing let alone know how to transfer to billing nor a manager. SimonMed should stop billing me after I've already paid. I have receipts to prove I've paid. We've contacted SimonMed at least 3 times to straighten it out and they've repeatedly said they would and yet we keep getting bills, text messages and emails asking for money. What does it take to get this resolved? I think this is a scam and they're taking advantage of those dealing with serious medical issues and adding this on top of it. Do NOT use this company for anything. The billing department will overcharge you hundreds of $$$ and it will take going to count to get a clear Refund. They Even Frustrated my insurance company.
On October 17, 2023, I went to the ********, **, location for some x-rays, and they charged me $114.18. When I learned that my insurance covered the entire amount, I contacted to ask when I was receiving my refund. Of course, they were very quick in receiving the double charge but not very prompt in letting me know that the insurance covered 100% of this service. Wife went here in March 2023 for ***. They billed insurance and then sent us a bill for over $4k. Called insurance who said we only owed $100. Call SimonMed and they tell us we only owe $100 and will put our account on hold until we get the correct statement. They send us a bill for over $2k. On Oct 19 2023 received service and was told to pay 200 dollars. No insurance was ran and they said I never received service for this date. Set up a payment plan there and they keep taking money out. No bill no records just keep taking money out. Was told in 10 business days they would have answers. Called back today ans they said it will be up to 30 to 45 days. I was charged 365 for an MRI. I went in three months later and had the exact same imaging done again but was charged ****** before the procedure and then was charged an additional 24 and some change the following month. An extra 326+ for the exact same thing. Not a very competent staff. Makes me wonder about the competence of the rest of the staff.
Major issues with billing practices over multiple months and still not resolved. Now they want to turn me into a collection agency even though it took them a year to FINALLY bill my insurance correctly and they are claiming I still owe full amounts!
