Repeatedly had to ask for things to be fixed during the build process, and after walkthroughs.
The builder representative Bobby did not communicate anything to us the entire time even though we had need asked to be kept in the look multiple times. He told us how things would be at our first meeting and nothing stuck to what he said. I now have a terrible yard that is washing away and they aren’t willing to correct it. There are multiple spots on our walls where the nails in the wall are still visible under the paint as well as many rough patches on every wall in the house and the seams of the carpet are visible. The plug on the outside of our house doesn’t work and during our blue tape walk we had an extreme number of problems that needed to be fixed. Some of them were addressed after my realtor had to reach out to the builder multiple times for them to come back into our home and fix the issues after we’d already moved in
The way my first time home buying experience went left a bad taste in my mouth. How I and my realtor was ignored is inexcusable. If it wasn’t for Sherry Richardson (Felton Walk) I would’ve closed.
Penny was great and still is. But the contractor Tommy is horrible. I’m my day of closing we came in for the final inspection but home has so much problems that even when Penny Smith Douglas employee gave up after going through the first floor. I have patch work that was done after painting was don and was not painted over. And some patch were not completed at all. My stairs railing is all loos and have fishing problems in every area of the house. Door were installed with out pre drilling so the wood is cracking. There is vi... read more
My experience was not what I had expected. The project manager really didn't make my experience pleasant. It appeared to me that the punch list items were not performed with customer satisfaction in mind.
The biggest concern is the closing statement they failed to promise. There is an item that they need to replace during the closing. They had a closing statemen. They failed to do that.
Way to expensive for the subpar craftsmanship
