During my walk through, there were ants in the half bath. Chase, the seller representative said he would spray as he had the stuff in his truck. I reached out to him a few times and finally reached him. He preceded to tell me that he did not say he would spray. Both me and my real estate agent was present so couldn’t believe he denied the statement. Later ants were in the ceiling, on the counter top, in the dishwasher and on the master bathroom ceiling. I am deeply dissatisfied with the service and construction process for my home in the Sycamore Crest community built by Smith Douglas Homes. Despite the company’s claims of being a custom home builder committed to quality and service, my experience has been riddled with poor communication, incorrect installations, and unresolved issues. 1. My home was not being built on time at Garrett Preserve so I was sent an email from Victoria Heights stating they will have a home ready on time.
I would be too embarrassed. We had so many issues at the end that if they had those issues I would be mortified to put my name behind yall.
Will never recommend this community to anyone.
Smith Douglas changed the grading of our lot from flat to elevated with a huge slope to the back and side yards. We specifically told them we needed a flat lot as my husband is in a wheelchair. Now he cannot go into the back or side yards. The slope is so steep it is likely his power chair would tip forward and critically injure him. Smith Douglas refused to change the grading of the lot to accommodate him. Not ADA compliant.
No, lots of don’t care moments from the builders and no pride on their work or commitment to resolve any issues that arise.

I'm really not sure because there were multiple things that I had to continously ask to get taken care of even though they might be small things. This is my forever home an wanted it basically perfect. Construction manager was ok until the last 2 weeks when we had issue with covered Patio concrete slab didn't look up to par like it should've, an the construction manager was started to act very snarky when we were asking about fixing it.
