The materials used to build the home are cheap.
There were follow-up items that needed to be taken care of prior to closing, and they were not completed. I was told it would be completed after closing, and a month and a half after closing, it's still not completed.
I didn't want the people to go in the ditch
Lots of shotty workmanship that was ignored by the inexperienced construction manager, Amanda. She does not like questions. Quarter round stain on the kitchen vinyl floor, master bath pipe was placed in the foundation OUTSIDE of the wall. The final walk through had like a birdhouse built around that construction error and it wasn’t even secured to the wall. Looked like a first grader did it. Based on my experience, I would not recommend to friends/family.
We are only one month into living in the house and we haven’t been given a reason not to recommend.
The builder had questionable responses to complaints. I haven’t submitted anything to Smith personally.
The cheapest materials are used and I closed two months ago and still have contractors at my house fixing things.
Some of the sub contractors that are used are a complete joke. The repaires they did are TERRIBLE. And I’m done with the process of trying to get it fixed correctly.
