If you can get past the bathroom/showers it’s really a nice place.. they have lots of stuff for kids to do.. the pools are actually a nice size.. as well as a semi lite volleyball and basketball courts.. the creek is nice but only if you are on a canoe.. don’t expect to float with a tube.. we actually drove to sons river ranch and floated the river with our tubes. It’s only about a 40 minute drive. The game room is very big and nice.. bring extra pillows because there is only two per bed.. I guess really it depends on how ma... read more

The people on the grounds were great. However, your greeter at check-in was on the snappy side. Although the new check-in rules were emailed to me there was an oversight where it was located on my email that I was unaware. The way she responded to my question was uncalled for and was taken to an offense. I attempted to contact management, but was given then run around by your employees and never received a call back. Not even a response to a resolution nor an apology.

This is our second stay at the birdhouse cabins at Sons Rio Cibolo and we found them just as clean and well kept as last year. We are a family of 5 and the space fit us well. We even noticed they were expanding the activities around the grounds. The staff was very helpful every time we chatted with them. We have been coming to Sons properties for about 6 years now and the original was our favorite. After trying several others since the original is no longer available, we can definitely say Rio Cibolo is our new favorit... read more

We rented the Safari Cabin #1, I would suggest not renting that one as it has absolutely no shade on the patio or over the picnic table/grilling area. The one’s next to it are completely shades with huge beautiful shade trees. The inside was perfect, we sleep 10 (3 adults and 7 girls ages 8 to 15 and we sleep comfortably). Our girls spent more time in the pools then the creek due to so much debris floating around. We did enjoy kayaking and playing on the other side of the water fall where the water is shallow and less debris... read more
