Fair weather vets. But when my cat was having an emergency, they wouldn't see him. Mind you, this is in the middle of the day, in the middle of a work week, and we were existing patients. They told us to take him to an emergency vet. Everyone knows that emergency vets are very expensive. And you have to do what you have to do... during night time and weekend hours. Any place one goes to get a service, the initial overall view one gets from the place is if they are willing to assist and can provide at the very least pricing (or brackets of such pricing) for a specific service. South Kendall has gone swiftly downhill over the past couple of months. It's such a shame because they used to be great. It used to be warm and friendly but now feels cold. The staff and doctors don't seem to really love and care for the pets like they used to. They are always in a rush. Hopefully they're able to rectify this soon. For now, I have switched to Redland Animal Hospital and my family has switched to another vet on 184th street which has great reviews.

As a long time customer of South Kendall Animal clinic it pains me to give them a 1 star and they are only getting that cause I can't them "0". Dr. Bob was the heart and soul of this establishment, kind, caring and compassionate, he truly loved what he did and it showed, he cried alongside of me when I had to put my golden retriever down. Dr. Weir is great but this place overcharges. Took my dog in one day to figure out what was wrong with her, had to go back again 6 days later and was charged for office visit. If they had done a thorough work up the first visit, we wouldn't have had to go back. Supposedly the first visit was "no charge" because the dog cane from animal services but nothing free about $189. Visit six days later and office visit charge and $203 later. That's how they get you. Sad.
Unfortunately, after more than 10 years I will not be using South Kendall Animal any longer. I had two very rude phone messages from Mimi about a situation that I know had been taken care of before. But today there was nothing she could do and she was just plain rude and ruined my day!
I've been going to this vet for almost 15 years. Until a few years ago I loved the staff, loved the fact that they always had a stray cat waiting for a home at the front desk, never had a complaint. Then he sold the practice. I never got a formal notice but could tell immediately something was wrong. The stray cats disappeared (no money in that). New staff with terrible attitudes. If u are looking for an Animal Clinic without any doctors available to get your pet checked, this is the right place, the receptionist ( pretty rude btw) she asked me what my dog had just to tell me that they did not have any available doctor so it would be better tomorrow, my question is, what is the point of a veterinary clinic without doctors, at least one should be to attend any case. And please if you are not able to have doctors available, at least look for a better receptionist
