It was convenient and clean.
Decor
The room was exactly what's described and in the photos. The bed was VERY comfortable and we had a balcony that had a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. The only thing that wasn't as advertised is the "buffet breakfast." It can barely be called a continental breakfast. Skip it and go to Sedona Crepes across the street.
Southwest Inn has always been a great spot to stay. I have been here 4-5 times since 2015 and it's always the first place I check. Great location in West Sedona, walking distance to Nick's (breakfast) and Local Juicery. Parking is super easy and the rooms are big/clean. The grounds are excellent and front front office help has been fantastic year after year. No glaring weakness here other than the price. Prices here have skyrocketed from what they used to be. Lovely first night of trip- nice view, hot tub and very helpful desk clerk! First time I saw a handicap access for hot tub-nice!
Amenities very limited.
The room is old. Free breakfast offers almost not much choices. Better prepare to get breakfast somewhere else in the area.
