Formal Complaint Regarding Excessive Labor Charges at Sparks Toyota. I am writing to share my recent experience with Sparks Toyota. On the morning of February 18, 2026, the serpentine belt on my Toyota van snapped. I had the vehicle towed to Sparks Toyota, where the service technician diagnosed the issue as a faulty alternator. I would like to clarify that, as a Toyota dealership, we use manufacturer-established flat-rate labor times rather than billing strictly by clock hours. These times are set by Toyota and account for the full repair procedure, including diagnostics, removal and reinstallation of components, and system testing. I worked parts & service most of my adult life. I've had several people reach out to me about their customer service experience and vehicles not being repaired properly. I read Google reviews that said the same. People spend their money and should receive the proper services for it.
