I recommend avoiding Spooner Physical Therapy under all circumstances..... especially if you are a senior citizen. Post neck surgery I was recommended to initiate my physical therapy at Spooner. The physical therapists were knowledgeable and did assist me in my recovery but the nightmare began when dealing with the Spooner Physical therapy accounting department. I had supplied Spooner with all the relevant information and documentation showing that I had met all of my deductibles due to the extensive (major surgery) I had ju... read more

While getting PT for hamstring reattachment surjury from Spooner Health I was burned by their tens machine. Already having a very painfuil leg Spooner Health burned two holes in the back of my numb thigh. Their insurance company VGM pasted my information to SH's attorneys... When I arrived at my first appointment, there were numerous people in the waiting area. I told the front desk that I was paying out of pocket since my insurance didn't cover my physical therapy appointments. The front desk person said that she could not tell me how much my appointments would be. Over the course of several weeks different people worked with me, which was interesting since I had asked to try to work with one because of consistency with the Therapy and so the same person would be familiar with the work towards ... read more

I can't speak for the actual physical therapist because I have only dealt with them professionally for credentialing. The credentialing staff in provider enrollment that they have are very immature and unprofessional. They would always call with an attitude for information, and if they didn't like the answer they would hang up. Then, call back and if they got the same person they would just keep hanging up on them. They would make insults calling our Staff stupid, worhtless etc. I mean every time they would call no matter ho... read more

I absolutely DONT recommend this place, or at least not Pauleen! She has my Mom very upset over her recovery. She was told that she will never walk again without a walker and stop using a cane! My Mom is a very healthy, trim 76 year old who fell and is recovering from a broken hip and drop foot. Her biggest motivation is getting rid of the hardware and walking on her own. Pauleen crushed her and now she wants to stop professional therapy now because of this input. FYI She has never been told this by any of her other PT or Nu... read more

i agree with Michael W. review on 2/10/16. the front office should be able to do better. It's enough stress dealing with injuries. i paid my co-pay and they just continue to bill me.

Profit over client care? That's my feeling. Pros... Main therapist was great. Employees were all nice. Easy to get to location. Cons... Spent very little time with main therapist. In the average hour session, time spent was less than 15-20 minutes. They over book, and the therapist are working with 3 or 4 patients at the same time. I wonder if the insurance companies are aware of this churning? It sure upset me, once I realized it. The balance of the session was sitting waiting and working with an intern who always h... read more

I strongly recommend you stay clear of this business. They quote you one price and then bill for another. There are plenty of good physical therapists....stay away from this one! NOT happy at all!!!!
