RecommendedI had no problem at all booking my cat's appointment. They were able to get him in the following week for a declaw. I was given instructions on how to check my cat in at the day of his appointment. When I arrived it was a very smooth process and the women and Doctor I encountered were very nice and informative on what to expect the day of and post surgery. The staff and vets were very kind and helpful! They weren’t pushy and offered options. The vet was knowledgeable and experienced regarding our cat’s condition. I will recommend Starch to other pet owners!
Have been going there for many years and cannot recommend everyone there highly enough.
Very patient and professional. Dr. Wichman took her time with my dogs and answered any questions I had. I was very impressed. The price was actually a lot less than I was expecting so that is always a plus. Definitely our new vet to use.
We have been using Starch for many years and I have always felt very comfortable and informed. Unfortunately our oldest fur baby took a sudden turn and we had to make the decision to let her cross the rainbow bridge 💔 Everyone that we spoke to and encountered have been so patient and compassionate through the process, the process was thoroughly explained and we were given time to say goodbye and grieve. I cannot say thank you enough to the staff, they made a very difficult decision just a little bit easier
I have been visiting this vet for a little over a year by a recommendation from a friend, and I have found the best vet clinic in the Des Moines area! The vet technicians are very friendly, and knowledgeable about the care of your pet. You really build a personal relationship with the techs and love each pet that comes through the door. Dr. Takus has been a wonderful Veterinarian for my dog. She is patient and kind with me as my dog ages and has more medical issues. The staff at the front desk in both locations are also knowledgeable, friendly and caring.
We have loved this office for 15 years. Between my cat having an uncommon surgery there many years ago, to regular vet checkups, to finding out one of our dogs had cancer. They have always been amazing. Totally worth the drive knowing our pets are in great hands!
Everyone was very kind and understanding with my dog Jessie. She can be a handful at times. Thank you all!
