The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday evening. Reservation was for 730. We did arrive 15 minutes early, were seated about 10 minutes after 730. Food was good, I had the prime rib which could have been a little more tender. Other wise food would have been great. Vegies were perfect. My wife had the fillet, and it was extremely tender. Update: The manager of the restaurant contacted us and expressed his sincere apologies. Our meal was refunded and he sent us a gift certificate for a return. We look forward to giving them another opportunity. Something has changed at Stone Creek and not for the better. Stone Creek has been our special occasion restaurant the past couple of years, but our Christmas Eve dinner there will definitely be our final visit. Our server was polite and attentive. The appetizer of guacamole, hummus snd warm spinach snd artichoke dip was very good. Entree was a tad disappointing. Spinach and mushroom side was delicious. However the crab cake was had no lump meat, was small had too much sauce was used on top. The lobster Mac and cheese was no cheesy, had tiny, almost invisible, pieces of lobster, was not put under a broiler before serving and no way was worth the 3 dollar up charge. My 4 brothers and I, with our wives meet here after Christmas to have a family dinner without the other generations. We ask for the large round table at the front of the restaurant because it is good for conversation. Usually the food is good if overpriced. This trip we did not get the table we requested. My sister in laws steak was returned multiple times because it was not prepared properly. The broccoli was cold, my wife's prime rib was so full of fat she could not eat it. My main issue is not being seated close to the time of our reservation. It was 30 minutes before we received a table. The food was very good, 8 oz. filets looked small and flat. Service was excellent, ambience was just ok, not at all like the one on Michigan Rd. where we usually go.
Service was good. The steak was perfect, it would have been nice if the rest of the food would have been prepared as well... Unfortunately the seafood and veggie sides were not good cold and undercooked.
The bread dipping oil had little flavor and it was too spicy. Olive oil and pesto would be better. The lobster risotto was bland. I had to add salt which I generally don't use. The Triple Dip was great. We LOVED the spinach and hummus dips. I compare Stonecreek to Bonefish. Bonefish is better.
