It was nice to have a local contact and a real person to communicate with when we had questions. As a veteran, my preferred banks tend to be either USAA or Navy Federal Credit Union, but it was so much easier to reach Sue Ann than the mortgage specialists from the bigger banks and Bank South was able to close the deal in 30 days vs the 45-60 day window that the other banks required.
