I called every emergency vet in the area and then I called Summit. I felt the compassion over the phone. When I arrived today we were treated with the most support and compassion. Tasha may have crossed the rainbow bridge, but you made it as gentle as possible. Thank you
While the service tends to be good, this place will nickel and dime you till you're in debt. We got a bill for over $2,000 and it was literally full of $.05, and $.10 charges! I've also been quoted a certain price for a test and then charged 3X as much when I'm checking out. One time I had one question for my vet and I was charged almost $100 for a doctor's visit. I'm passionate about animal welfare. My sweet dog, Ginger, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease a little over a year ago. She spent about two weeks in the hospital and her regular vet told me this condition was a death sentence. I still felt there was more I could do and obtained a second opinion from a specialist. It worked. I give her subcutaneous fluids every other day and her medications have stabilized her to the point that you can't tell she has a serious condition. Thanks so much to Dr. Hofeling and the staff at Summit! We were referred to him because our lab had large lipomas. Dr. Hofeling was amazing and forthright in telling me exactly what to expect, what he would do, and he was so confident I left our consultation appt feeling better about our dog than I had in weeks. The staff was/is amazing about answering questions anytime and it's nice to know a Dr. is always on staff. I wish this was our normal veterinarian!
