So I had to take Pinkie my dumbo eared rat into the vet to be put down tonight! I didn't have the money to be able to do anything, there was nothing that could of been done but to put her down. when I went into the vet they said that they didn't know if anyone was in to help with rats and that there was a vet near by. My Baby had to be brought in for a life threatening infection. The staff was very friendly and quick to see her. The Dr. was very straight forward and honest with us (unlike the first Dr. we took her to). Baby had to be put to sleep and I am glad that we were here for this difficult time. We were taken to a private room and told to take all the time we needed. The staff checked on us, provided for us and was just there for us. I was able to hold her as she left us. The specialty Drs at Summit are phenomenal, and the emergency care is reasonably priced. Both our family members have seen specialists ranging from eyes to cancer. Best specialty clinic around.

The staff is very nice, caring, and compassionate. We had to come in during the very late or very early hours for emergency care for our loved dog Dewey. They were quick to help him, quick to get us the information, and very patient with us. Because of the outcome, it was not a good experience - Dewey had to be put to sleep but they were very compassionate and very patient. Just wished it turned out better for Dewey. The best place to EVER take an animal. After another vet refused to do a C-section on our pregnant dog who was already a few days past her due date and we had a feeling something serious was wrong. We took her here after a couple more days had passed. Turns out she had a flipped uterous and it had torn. We did not have the money for an emergency c-section and I was almost in tears thinking that we may have to put her down but they worked with us using her surgery as a teaching tool and discounting where they could so between... read more

Dr. Rizzo is so Wonderful!! Her and her team helped our little Italian greyhound Bitsy....and us when she was diagnosed with lymphoma. The honesty and compassion was all I could have asked for... and then More! Over time when the treatments no longer worked...they helped us through it. I'm so glad our precious baby girl had Dr. Rizzo, and her Summit family...I know they took great care of her! Our family appreciates them more than they will ever know!❤💕

I have to Thank this hospital for the very best. Even though i had to say goodbye to my baby. Wish i had gone here sooner.
