I really enjoyed the counselors and the "TA" staff but overall the facility is very poorly ran.
This is my 1st time in a rehabilitation center and it will be my last. I have learn many ways to cope with my alcoholism, past traumas and future difficulties in life. I'm confident I will be strong in my recovery. I appreciate all the staff and patients who I have encountered.
The intake was very efficient. I was admitted to the detox floor for 5 days then transferred to residential. Due to low census, I had my own room and bathroom. The facility was clean. The food was fresh, good and very accommodating to my diet. Dietician was very helpful. Counselors were helpful, but wish I could have seen them more frequently. Good counselors, excellent service in Discharge Planning, most TA's are helpful and respectful. The medical staff is on point with care for the individual patient. The area in need of greatest improvement is management. Rarely saw the CEO, only downstairs with patients once in 90 days and in the Chapel for a Veteran's Day ceremony. The top level leadership seems to very much operate in top-down fashion effecting both the morale of patients and staff. I am thankful for this place and the treatment received.
Some parts of program need to be worked on. Some of TA staff are very unprofessional. Glorious and Joe are the best employees that Sunrise has as far as working with the patients in programs.

Catlin is the best discharge planner. She is very personable and genuine. She was with me every step of the way and helped me find a great IOP. Just a wonderful experience with her. Highly recommend Sunrise House and Catlin.
I attended Sunrise House for 24 days for alcohol addiction that was interfering with my entire life. I gained the necessary skills and was provided with proper medication to control my anxious thoughts. I am leaving Sunrise House with a newfound self-confidence and excitement to rebuild my life.
