Grew up in Patchogue and always enjoyed Tap Room. Gave this location a try today and sadly, walked right out. We were seated right away (because there was barely anyone in there) and the place had a sour smell to it. The table and booth seats were filthy, the water glasses had lipstick stains all over them and they didn't have many gluten free options. Choose another spot in Station Yards.

Long waiting time. Definitely understaffed. Food mediocre. Like, why would you send this fresh guac out?
Chef needs to read the order. And then when he messes it up reread the order. Food was ordered with a simple omission. Didn't follow and then rushed the food back out uncooked. Waitress didn't even offer a discount for two misses and simply disappeared rather than take care of the customer . Had great experiences at Bay shore and Patchogue locations. This one seems to be all about catering to the 20 something alcoholics and not the people who actually come to eat.
Over priced drinks...over priced food that's not all that good. Wait waaaay too long for seating and service not much better.
Trying this taproom now. I'm here with my dad after a car show and I ordered the same thing I git at the other one Wich is Mac and cheese with American sliders. The place is air conditioned and there's not many people it's taking a while to get the food like the other place. Server was nice, her name was Amanda she was nice. Food was really good here to! the food was mediocre, the servers were great but the one thing i didn't really like and is keeping me from going back is how i overhead how nasty the manager spoke to the workers. i overheard him coming off very aggressive to some people working that night, ive heard yelling from the kitchen and from working in the past in a busy restaurant, thats never necessary. however, the atmosphere is pretty cool, the food wasnt bad and the service was good otherwise.

First things first, I do want to point out the inconvenience of parking at this establishment. The parking is on the pricey side just for a couple hours and the app/website to pay for parking is extremely inconvenient. I do not think that the restaurant has control over that, but the plaza area that it's placed makes it such an inconvenient place to eat. As far as the parking situation goes, we know it can be frustrating, however there are 2 very affordable options for our guests! There is free parking in the Station Yards garage for up to 3 hours. Also, if you park in the public garage across from the train station, it is $3 for up to 2-3 hours and $5 if you park longer than that. And there are always plenty of spaces available in both!
