Ted’s never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the service is on point!
We've eaten at Ted's many times over the years. This meal was not as good as it has been in the past. We ordered the whipped ricotta which was nice but underwhelming—needed more seasoning. In contrast, the mushroom tortilla sandwich was very spicy and not a welcome level of spice. It should have been noted on the menu. Ted's Bulletin is local chain in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland with a limited menu. Although we came for dinner I think they specialize in an all day breakfast. The food was decent but unspectacular American fare. I started with a glass of Malbec followed by the home made tomato soup. Our server was incredible the food and drinks all came so fast even at the end of Saturday brunch and everything was delicious.
We splurged on a Valentine’s Day dinner experience so we ordered beverages and food in quantities that we we don’t normally order. For example, I normally enjoy one beer per meal. On this occasion, I ordered three cocktails and a boozy milkshake. They were all very tasty, but I felt as if I only had the alcohol equivalent of one beer. The food was so good!!!!!! The best brunch I've had since living in DC for 2 years. I got biscuits and gravy and my boyfriend got steak and eggs. Both were excellent. The only thing I didn't love was that the orange juice had pulp.
We like Ted's menu, and the atmosphere and location, all of which keep us coming back. The one thing that seems consistently poor is service.
