Great service, fast, courteous, attentive. Food quality is mediocre. Pancake stale and not tasty. Eggs not done as should be… over easy was cooked too much. Bread excellently as well as the hash browns. Floors super dirty. Our seat was torn and dirty. Our table was right in front of the reservation desk which was pretty annoying.
This is my favorite local restaurant. On this occasion I dined alone. I ordered my favorite entree: short rib pot roast. Per usual, it was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a White Russian boozy shake (thick) because I don’t enjoy milky milkshakes. The bartender complied. The serving was ample. Service was attentive without being annoying.
Great spot for a weekend/happy hour meeting with friends. Lively, robust atmosphere that plays well for a young, hip demographic. I’m old and was meeting even older friends there but we were comfy and able to have a conversation without shouting . Had reservations for 6:15 and my friends got there at almost 7:30- no problem as there were tables available. The outside seating was packed and looked fun. We made a reservation for two. Everything was great (food, ambiance, service) except for a too-small dining table. I always enjoy the short rib pot roast and a boozy milkshake.
A great neighborhood diner with something for everyone. Good food, good service, breakfast all day, a well rounded menu, what else could you ask for… a true American style restaurant.
Great food and service as usual! We joined today for my husband birthday breakfast!
We had the pot roast and mashed potatoes. The food and service were excellent. Each time I eat there, I’m seated by the kitchen. Just once I’d like a window seat. Noise is very loud near the kitchen.
The service was great and the food came out very quickly - but the food is just subpar (minus the poptarts which were excellent).
Ted’s is a staple in the NOVA area for my family & I. My experience at Ballston matched that of Reston - good food, good service & good vibes.
