Reserved table for outside through Open Table. Did not receive points. Email said they my reservation was not eligible for points! This is a bit of a bait and switch!! Very disappointing
Met friends from work. Horrible service! Mediocre food! Terrible drinks! Overpriced! Save your time and your money and choose another restaurant.
We waited 15 mins for a menu, then 45 mins for our drinks. We understand life is crazy post Covid but our experience was just very disappointing. The food was okay, but not much flavor to be honest. There are other places to frequent nearby that we would recommend for brunch.
Do not bother making a reservation at this restaurant. I had an 11:45AM reservation and walked in and they told me it was going to be a 20 minute wait. At 1:30PM I finally got a message saying my table is ready. This was not an isolated incident as last time I went I also had to wait an hour for a reservation and then received terrible service due to "forgetting" to put in our order. This restaurant has major logistical issues.
I have been to other Ted's Bulletin Reston and Fall Church Va locations which were great. I decided on Ballston Quater because it is close to where I live and it was my sister 1st time going to a Ted's Bulletin. My sister order their Steak dinner and I order their Meatloaf both meals wear lukewarm. Steak was dry and my Meatloaf was in pieces and it was oily. Despite having a reservation, we waited 30 minutes to be seated. While we waited, we went to the bar for a drink. We waited 15 minutes for the bartender to take our drink order. He seemed to be more concerned with emptying the dishwasher versus taking care of bar guests. Other guests were visibly upset as well. Once we sat down at the table, it took a while for the server to come over. Bad experience start to finish.
We were there with our kid, and the waiter took my order and my wife’s order, then bolted from the table without getting an order from our kid. Then the hostess got our kid’s order, and the waiter came back and took his order again. Then our kid’s food came out ten minutes before ours. Very odd.
We really wanted to like the new location/Ted Bulletin in Ballston since we eat out a lot, and try to not get stuck in a rut of eating in the same restaurants. Been Arlington residents for 26 years and look for new places to try. However, this will not be on our return list. We liked the vibe and look of the place. Unfortunately the food was just okay.
