Great vibe, service and food. Location was also good in a recent up and coming area in DC
Planned on coming here for breakfast for one of our two days in DC. They make everything from scratch in the kitchen. We ordered pancakes and a big breakfast that included a homemade toaster pastry. Everything tasted very good and the eggs were cooked to order. The pastry however (blueberry cheesecake) was off the chart sweet and even my 9 yr old had enough at a few bites. Coffee and service was excellent.

More than half of the beers on the menu were not available. Then took quite a while to get requested water and drinks. Then didn’t stop by for a long time to check in about dessert or check.

Food was great! They seemed to have been short staffed. One of the bar staff waited our table. She apologized up front and was very friendly! There was NO BEER! Someone forgot to order! Inexcusable in my eyes! My daughter ordered the meatloaf and received the more expensive short ribs, which was great but a bit troublesome! Overall, it was fine, I think just a bad Tuesday night. Next time we’re in town we will be back!
We went here for dinner, spur of the moment. We had been here before, but I saw their Cherry Blossom Pop-tart on Instagram and was determined to go there. We were seated and had great service, the waitress made sure to hold on to a Cherry Blossom tart so that I could get one. My meal was great (breakfast for dinner), my mother enjoyed her biscuits and gravy, and my father enjoyed his carbonara. I've always like the retro feel of the restaurant. Would definitely go again sometime soon!
Limited bar service but great food and superior service. Retro ambiance.
