The food and ambiance at Ted's Bulletin were good and there was a lot to choose from. It reminded me a little of Cheesecake Factory -- something for everyone and big portions. That's not necessarily a bad thing to me, just different from it's tapa-bar neighbors on 14th Street. As advertised, the adult shakes and pop tarts were both delicious.
Our family members from Boston were in town for a few days and we went to Ted's for lunch. Our server was very helpful, fun ambiance and really generous portions of delicious food. We'll be back!
Food was so so and unexciting. Lacking in punch and panache...the environment promised something a lot better.... for instance my meatloaf was smothered in a rather unappetizing combination of ketchup and bbq sauce. Had to scrape it off which is fine but why give so much and why make it so unappetizing both to look at and eat.. no one else in the party felt like they were eager to return.. but that is the case with all these places on 14th. Had a great breakfast with family. Great omelet and pop tarts! We had the cinna-bon for the table, it was huge.
American classics done very well. Milk shakes and bakery items are excellent. Service is so so. No refills on drinks or check back on food quality.
I visit Ted's Bulletin every time I'm in D.C. and was not very happy with our server this time, My complaint is that my order was wrong, and I had to flag our waitress down to get it corrected. She noted my waving, did a few other things, and then when she came over, said "Now what was the big emergency about?" I really resented this attitude. The "big emergency" was she did not verify that our order was correct, my food was getting cold, and then she had a very flippant attitude when she finally got to us. This is the first... read more
Good food at great prices! Pineapple mimosa so tasty.
Homemade doughnuts and poptarts. Need I say more? This spot has great food, attentive service, large portions and a cool atmosphere. It does not get any better.
Ted's Bulletin was excellent for breakfast on Sunday 3/30/2014. It was a horrible day and they made it better with their good coffee and excellent hash browns that are crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. I will definitely visit again - can't wait to try an adult milkshake.
