I can't think of anything bad. It's such a cute little place. The food is amazing. I love the milkshakes. Kids love the pop tarts.
Perfect for everything you want!
We were really excited to try out the new location (given how much we love Ted's on the Hill) and while the food was as good if not better than the original location, the staff has yet to hit its groove -- e.g., we had to ask two different hosts to check us in for our reservation, I ate half of my meal while waiting for our waitress to refill the ice tea glass that she took with her when the food was delivered to the table, we waited 15 minutes for the check to be dropped and another 10 minutes for someone to pick it up. Our server, Sarah maybe??? Was amazing!
Ordered the grilled cheese sandwich & tomato soup combo. Sandwich was rather boring and soup was okay. Definitely not trying that again. However, restaurant is beautiful with friendly staff. May go back to try something else.
Too much staff...people kept walking by our table trying to take things off our table, when we weren't finished with them or asking us every five minutes if we were doing okay. Little too much of what I call 'over-service', but would rather have that than under service.
I had breakfast here today, and it was the best food, service, price, and decor I have experiencined in a long time. Everything was awesome about this place! I didn't leave feeling ripped off either. So much food and reasonablly priced. Homemade pop tarts? great. Turkey Sausage - best ever. My water and coffee never got empty. And i didn't feel like other diners were so close they could hear everything we said. I almost don't want to give this place such a good review because I want it all to myself.
I am so glad that there is another place on 14th that I can take my 14 month old daughter. The food is tasty and the drinks are even better! Be sure to save room for dessert. The "kids menu" items are pretty large, so I would only get those for an older child. Its also noisy enough that the diners next to use barely noticed when she screamed. I cant wait to go back!
Ted's Bulletin is one of my favorite restaurants. I remember dining at the Capitol Hill location before it popularity made it difficult to just walk in for a meal, and then again many, many times afterwards. I live in Northeast DC, on the edge of NOMA, but was still excited to learn that the 14th Street location was being built - I have many friends that reside on that side of town. Now we're all happy! Breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks - you can't go wrong if you go to Ted's!!
