Had a lovely dinner at Thai Square with friends. Ambience particularly lovely - great setting - took us back to our days in Thailand. Service variable - food very quick, drinks extremely slow. Would go back.
Very nice venue and located in a practical place if visiting a show later on in the evening.
Had a fab meal at Thai Square. Arrived a little earlier than our 19:30 booking so were able to have the pre-theatre menu at £14.50 per person. Great value - mixed starters of fishcakes, duck rolls, tempura prawns, dumplings & satay, followed by green curry, chicken & cashews, pad thai & rice, then mango sorbet. Really tasty and plenty of food - we added a portion of Weeping Tiger too (yum!) and had leftovers. Great service, lovely surroundings - recommended!
The food and decor of the place is great that's why I love this restaurant. However the service is terribly poor, we had to wait ages to be served, our drinks took half and hour to come and the couple next to us seemed to have the same problem. However it seemed they were more attentive to their White customers rather than their Asian customers. Was let down by the service

When we asked if we would fit in the pre-theatre set menu before leaving at 7.15pm, they offered to bring the starters and the main courses at the same time. This came out very quickly, which was great as it meant we could relax and not worry about the time. The food was high quality although the chicken satay skewers were cold. The lemonade also had a strong taste of post-mix chemicals but that happens a lot. The only other thing was the compulsory adding of 12.5% to the bill - always a pain.
Overall pretty good authentic Thai food - ordered the Gold Set Menu - decent portion sizes but limited choice of main items.
Have been before and food was as good as usual.
Thai Square, Shaftesbury Avenue, London We arrived early for our reservation but it was no problem. We tried the pre-theatre menu which was excellent and very good value. The service was fast & attentive. Meal finished in plenty of time to get to the theatre
