Thai Square Shaftesbury Avenue . This is a great little restuarant for a pre or post Theatre meal. The food is good and the service very efficient.
thai square, london, good food and reasonable cocktails (crystal ball without sugar!)
We dined at That Square in Covent Garden, London on Saturday night. The food was very well prepared and of high quality. One person had something far too spicy, after asking that it be made less hot in preparation. However, the staff handled the situation beautifully. The ambience of the restaurant and the staff outfits were really lovely. I would definitely go again.
Not wanting to cheap out of a review, but dinner was OK. The food was fine, but I find Thai to be a relatively safe bet in London and it's rare to have a bad meal. There was nothing on the menu to make the place stand out. The service was OK, but unremarkable. We were given a table right by the door despite having booked; wouldn't have been great if it were busy, but it was dead so not a problem. No atmosphere, but again the place was dead. Fine if in the area, but not a destination
Excellent
Lovely food and great service
A lovely place to dine. The food was nice and the atmosphere was good too.
I took my parents to this restaurant for Mothers' Day as my Mum loves Thai food. The restaurant was quite empty (I suppose as it is off the beaten track a bit for Covent Garden) but this wasn't a problem! The food was yummy and arrived quickly, we had one of the set menus, which was quite good value and very filling. Service was, however, a bit sluggish considering the few tables there, we had to wait a long time before having our coffees in particular. All in all though, I would go again.
I thought the vegetarian main had been cooked with fish/in fish oil as it tasted very fishy and i was very disappointed with the food as I had heard a lot about the place. The mixed vegetarian platter as pretty good though- with a LOT for 2 people... Probably not going to visit again.
