I visted Thai Square Covent Garden with a friend for a quick pre-theatre dinner. Having been to the branch in St Albans on a number of occasions, my expectations were high. The place didn't look too busy but there were a couple of larger groups in so that could have explained why i was left sitting for almost 10 minutes before being asked for my drinks order. But despite that, the food arrived quickly once ordered and was well presented and tasty.
Great helpful staff, arranged candles and Singing for friends birthday. Delicious food. Thai square covent garden
Excellent food and varied menu. Great presentation of food and restaurant in general. Would return in the future. Would have been nice to have been given chopsticks though.
the food was excellent but the service was a little rushed with the main course arriving the moment we finished the starter.
Went there on a Wednesday evening around 6.30pm, the place was still quiet and started to liven up around 7.30ish. Food was served promptly, the service was good and very polite. As a Vegetarian there was limited amount of choice. Went for the thai red curry which was okay but not as spicy as I would have liked. However i went with a fellow meat eater diner who loved the food!
Thia Square - Covent Garden. Very nice restaurant and good food. A nicer branch than the one on the strand.
Went to the Covent Garden one for lunch with 6 friends just before a matinee show at Cambridge Theatre. The food was very good especially the Mussaman Lamb curry. The fish cakes were nice and spicy. The interior decor is very good and we took a few snaps as it was the leaving-do for one of our friends. The restaurant is very close to the Cambridge Theatre and convenient enough to drop in after a shopping spree at Oxford street.
We went to Thai Square on Shaftesbury Avenue in London. Fine for a meal with friends but it was very busy with lots of large parties and therefore very noisy so not a good venue for a romantic meal! We had the silver sharing menu for 4 - more food than we could eat. You could save money and just choose a few dishes from the regular menu to share.
The food at the Thai Sruare was very good indeed and the service was friendly and functional. The speed of service was second to none I have experienced! The only thing I really object to is a added service charge.... This really turns me off when a restaurant does this as it should always be customer choice in my book.. (they would have got more as well!) I would go back for the food for sure but was turned off by the service charge out of principle.
