We were allowed to linger over more wine after finishing our meal which was all round very good. Staff were attentive but didnt rush us at all. A really good evening.
I have eaten at the Thai Square Mansion House several times. The food never disappoints, and the service is excellent. I love their choice of currys and other Thai food.
The duck was not very tasty (felt microwaved) and there was a lot of fat around the meat. Starters were good but some them did not feel fresh. Overall the food was ok but the menu at 30£ is a bit overpriced vs quality.
Very good food - spicy aubergine a real treat. Service efficient.
Dinner midweek at Thai Square was a fairly low key affair as expected but the restaurant was disappointing. The food was lack lustre and the service diffident which made the evening less pleasant than it could have been.
Thai Square at Mansion House is a great place to go if you're looking for no thrills, decent Thai food at reasonable costs. The food was okay service was alright the ambience was normal but it's good value for money.
Nice, solid thai fare. tasty, quick turnaround and decent ambience
Service and ambience are great. Very attentive staff despite it being a busy Friday lunch time in the City. However, a balance of authentic Thai flavours and flavours that are adapted to suit the locals' taste is needed. Food is sweet-led. It does not have to be chilli-hot but it lacks the usual 'kick' of Thai flavours. My western colleagues agreed. Having said that, Thai Square is not the only restaurant that is doing this to Thai food. Hard to recommend for an authentic Thai experience - which is more difficult to find now... read more
Thai Square is a very recent discovery for me, and it was so good the first time that I went back in less than a week. The food is excellent, and despite it getting very busy at lunchtime, i've not had long waits for food to appear. The menu is extensive but not overwhelmingly large - the specials are very good, especially the Chilli Lamb. Thai Square is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine.
